Accurate laser technology has maintained its importance in the shooting sector, and alongside compressed air, small and large calibre weapons, it has become indispensable and is implemented in many sectors because of its sophisticated technology.

Regardless of whether it is used in modern pentathlons, biathlons or target shooting, to train government personnel or as a highlight at events – laser technology has become a sensible and professional addition to the shooting sector.

HIGHEST COMPETITION APPROVAL

With the PLT2 precision laser target, Schneider Messtechnik has launched a system that has already gained the highest competitionapprovals, including that of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM).

The highest safety requirements are also met by the manufacturer of the laser/light weapons by adhering to the strictest specified coding. The PLT2 precision laser target safely and reliably records the internationally approved code integrated in the laser shot. This guarantees competition safety and protects against third party interventions.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

The laser rifle or pistol releases a relevant laser pulse for each shot that contains specified code information. Laser class 1 is safely observed with an output of 2.4 to 3.5 mW and a pulse length of 15.6 ms. Once the shot has been recorded by the target, the code is analysed, approved and finally displayed by the LeasX software that has also been developed by Schneider.

SAFE, ACCURATE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY

Shooting with a coded laser is completely safe and even childproof: the PLT2 is shot at with a class 1 laser – the lowest laser class, thus ensuring it is not necessary to implement special safety measures within the surrounding area. Thanks to this harmless technology, it can even be used in disability sport events without any problems. The latest laser and light target technology as well as the corresponding laser and light weapons do not lack anything compared to standard systems: They actually offer a comparable and familiar environment providing the same high-level of accuracy.
